What are the age restrictions to attend?

This is an 18 and over only event.

What and where is the festival located?

Music Jazz Experience is an all-inclusive destination music event.
The event takes place at SECRETS BAHAI MITA SURF & RESORT in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.
The whole festival is a 7-night event taking place December 4th-December 11th, 2023 with 5 different packages available to enjoy concerts and events as your schedule allows.

What is included in the all-inclusive event ?

The package in an all-inclusive that covers the following:

  • Accommodations at the All-Inclusive Dreams Bahai Mita Surf & Spa Resort in Puerto Vallarta Mexico.
  • All-Inclusive amenities at your individual resort including dining and beverages (including alcoholic). Late night dining is also available.

Please note, some resorts have premium dining options that have additional fees.

  • Access to daily pool parties and after parties.
  • Dinner and drinks are provided each night with the performances at Secrets Bahai Mita Surf & Spa Resort each day.

What is not included in the price?

Airplane flights to and from Puerto Vallarta, upgraded dinner options/ drinks, spa treatments, local excursion, concierge services are not included. Please note, VIP Upgrades do offer some of these, as well as discounts on others. Finally, please be aware that all Mexico residents/subjects will be subject to a 16% added VAT tax, which will be charged as an incidental to the credit card provided to the resort at check-in. Important: any non-residents who fail to provide their passports and immigration cards to the resort at check-in, will also incur this charge.

Do I need a Passport?

Yes, if you are traveling from another country outside Mexico, you will need a Passport.

Plan ahead if you are in the U.S. and don’t have a current passport, as it can take up to two months to get/update your Passport.

Passports that expire within 6 months for your travel date are no longer valid.

What airport do I fly into?

You will need to fly into Aeropuerto Internacional Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz IATA, airport code (PVR).

What information will I need to book my package?

When you initially book a package you will need to have your credit card and personal information available to make a reservation, such as:

  • Full legal names of guests
  • A credit/debit card for payment
  • Billing & Mailing Address
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Birthday
  • Citizenship Status (Document)

Other information such as your passport and any other travel documents indicating citizenship will be required to be supplied to us at a later date and prior to check in but are not needed to book a reservation.

How do payment plans work?

Initial deposit of $500 is due at time of purchase. Equal installments will be charged to the card on file on 15th of the month, and the final balance on October 15th, 2023. 

If you choose to pay over time a $275 Layaway fee will be added to your total. Payments are due on pre-assigned dates each month. Additional terms and conditions will apply when you agree to enter into the payment plan. An additional fee applies.

Who sells the tickets?

Tickets are sold by Friendly Sky. The producer of the festival is Mexico Jazz Experience. This website links you to the official ticketing links that access Friendly Sky.

How does a package purchase breakdown?

All-Inclusive Price:
The All-inclusive price is set by the event promoter and the total is the price for one (1/2) room package includes all ticket and resort fees, service / processing fees are calculated at checkout.

What other activities will be available besides the music?

There will be no shortage of exciting activities to enjoy at the resort, as well as out and about in the local area. We will be announcing off-site Adventures and on site resort activities in the near future – please stay tuned to our website for more details!

  • 4 night stay at the Secrets® Bahía Mita
  • Post fest concert on the 10th – Gospel Xmas Brunch Concert
  • All-inclusive food and beverages

5 Night Package:

  • 5 night stay at the Secrets® Bahía Mita
  • Pre fest concert on the 6th and party cruise
  • Post fest concert on the 10th – Gospel Xmas Brunch Concert
  • Meet and Greet autograph session
  • All-inclusive food and beverages
  • Access to official After Parties and Pool Parties

7 Night Package:

  • 7 night stay at the Secrets® Bahía Mita
  • 2 rounds of golf
  • All star jam concert before the fest begins
  • Pre fest concert on the 6th and party cruise
  • Post fest concert on the 10th – Gospel Xmas Brunch Concert
  • Meet and Greet autograph session
  • All-inclusive food and beverages
  • Access to official After Parties and Pool Parties

What is the max number of adults that can share a room?

Three (3) people max, per room. However, there are exceptions. Some VIP suites and villas do allow more.

Are there dress codes for the resorts/concert?

There are no specific dress guidelines for the various resorts we are offering in Puerto Vallarta but please check with your individual resort for specific requirements at some restaurants.

There are no dress guidelines for MEXICO JAZZ EXPERIENCE.

Can you add name(s) to a reservation after booking?

Yes provided that the individual has paid.

Guest names must be submitted to Mexico Jazz Experience no later than 30 days before departure or fees may be applied. 

What is the festival cancellation policy?

The Event has a very strict cancellation policy.

All payment(s) are FINAL and are non-refundable. We urge all of our guests to purchase travel insurance to protect their trip in the case of family or medical emergencies which may prevent you from attending. And as we have seen this year, in the case of inclement weather delays which may prevent you from traveling to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

CANCELLATION POLICY

Payments for the Event are Non-refundable. If You decide not to attend, or are prohibited from attending due to illness, travel delays, or any reasons whatsoever, Company is under no obligation to refund any monies received from You.
The Company shall not provide nor be responsible to provide any refunds for unused tickets, or cancellations for those who do not show up in time for any or part of the event for any reason whatsoever after the start of Event. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.

What type of travel documents will I need to attend the festival?

If you are traveling to Mexico from any other country, you will need to have a valid Passport. Passports that expire within 6 months for your travel date are no longer valid.

It is the sole responsibility of the festival guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from attending MEXICO JAZZ EXPERIENCE No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring the proper documentation.

Is there a group discount?

We don’t offer group discounts at this time.

What sort of special activites are planned besides music?

There will be no shortage of exciting activities to enjoy at the resort, as well as out and about in the local area. We will be announcing off-site Adventures and on-site resort activities in the near future – please stay tuned to our website for more details!

Can I extend my trip outside the dates of the event?

Yes, we offer the option to extend your stay before or after the festival for one to three nights. Extended stays also allow you to explore more of the local surroundings. If you decide to stay longer please call the box office at (602)244-8444 to set up the dates of your stay.

Can I make changes to my orders?

Yes you can make changes to your order by contacting us at: (602)-244-8444 or by emailing us at info@azjazzfest.com.

What types of payments are accepted?

We accept all major credit cards. In addition, if you would like to spread your payments over time, you may purchase your package with your payment plan program. Please note, a payment plan program service fee of $275.00 per card used is added.

Does Mexico Jazz Experience offer any refunds?

Due to Mexico Jazz Experience’s strict no-refund policy we highly recommend that our customers purchase Travel Insurance.

Does the event offer Travel Insurance?

Yes we do through AIG Travel also known as Travel Guard.
Note: It is best to make your purchase as soon as you purchase your package to protect not only the package but yourself while in Mexico.

What kind of payment options are available to make my purchase?

  • Payment in full at the time of booking.
  • Payment Plans: If you choose to pay over time an additional payment plan fee will be added to your total at check out in the amount of $275.00. Monthly payments are due on the pre-assigned date of each month. 
  • Additional Terms and Conditions will apply when you agree to enter into the payment plan. Additional fees may apply.
  • Please note that the payment plan fee applies to having one credit card on file. If two or three people are sharing the expenses you will need to decide whom the main person will be to make the purchase and you will need to work out your portion with the main person that is making the purchase. 

Note: It is highly suggested to make sure that each guest is held responsible in attending this event. Once the package has been purchased either in full or by entering into a payment plan since there are No Refunds or Cancellations the main person will be held responsible for their guest backing out on them. They will need to replace their guest with another person (name(s) need to be supplied no later than 30 days before departure or fees will be applied) or take the loss as full payment of the original package purchased is required to attend. 

 

Payment Plans

How do I select the payment plan option?

On the website during checkout, you can find the option by adding the desired tickets to your cart from the event page and clicking Buy Tickets. Once you get to your check out screen you will find a blue button that says + Use payment plan under your order summary on the left-hand side of your checkout screen.

How do I process a payment while on a payment plan?

Once you have updated your credit card information, Friendly Sky will attempt to process your payment up to 5 days after the initial installment was due . If that payment does not go through we will attempt it again in 5 days after the previous attempt, if that attempt does not go through your payment plan will be canceled. If you would like your payment processed immediately please contact the box office at 602-244-8444.

How do I view my payment plan schedule?

To manage your payment plan please follow the steps below:

  1. Log In to your Friendly Sky Account
  2. Hover over your user menu with your initials displayed in the upper right
  3. Click My Orders
  4. Click the event card that your payment plan is under
  5. Click on the blue ‘Payment Plan Active’ hyperlink that will expand your payment plan details

How do I cancel my payment plan?

You can actually cancel your payment plan directly through your Friendly Sky account. Please note that once you do cancel your payment plan we will not be able to refund you for the payments that have already been made, per our strict purchase policy.

Are there any late fees?

There is a 5-day grace period for late payments. After 5 days the account will be assessed a $50 late payment fee.

Defaulted Plan: A payment plan is considered in default if payments are more than 15 days late. Once in default, reservations are placed on hold, and the reservation will require a $175.00 reinstatement fee plus all payments paid up to date in order to remove the default status.

Cancellation for non-payment: If after 30 days the default status has not been remedied, Company has the right to cancel the reservation and the customer forfeits all monies paid to the Company.

Can I purchase tickets to the event without purchasing a resort package?

The only way you can attend the concerts and events is by purchasing the full package through Friendly Sky.
The producer of the festival is “Mexico Jazz Experience” and our website links you to the official ticketing links that access Friendly Sky.

Does my package purchase give me a seat to the festival?

You will need to select your price level and seats that you wish to sit in during the checkout process. (They are not included in the Package Purchase).

Is there reserved seating for the events?

All events have assigned seating at MEXICO JAZZ EXPERIENCE, you will have the option to choose your seat after you pick your room package.

Is Mexico Jazz Experience Affiliated with Music Getaways?

No, Mexico Jazz Experience has no affiliation with Warren Hill or Music Getaways.
